Privacy policy
Last updated 17 October 2026.
This policy explains what information Wow Geography (wowgeography.com) collects, how it is used and the choices you have. In short: you can play every game without an account, and we do not ask for your name, email or any other personal details to play.
Information stored on your device
To remember your progress, the site saves a small amount of information in your own browser using a feature called local storage. This includes your best scores, the levels you have unlocked in GeoQuest and GeoGuess, and your Daily Challenge results. If you fill in the explorer passport in GeoQuest, the name, home country and other details you type are also stored only in your browser.
This information is not sent to us and never leaves your device. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for wowgeography.com.
Your location (optional)
Near the end of the homepage's scroll tour, your browser may ask whether the site can use your location, so the plane can land where you are. This is optional. If you allow it, your position is used once, inside your browser, to work out which country you are in; it is not stored and never sent to us. If you say no, the plane simply lands in India.
Cookies and advertising
We use Google AdSense to show advertisements, which helps keep the site free. Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to show ads, to measure how ads perform and to limit how often you see the same ad.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s previous visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.
- To learn more, read how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for your consent before personalised ads or non-essential cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time from the privacy message on the site. If you do not consent, you may still see non-personalised ads.
